Boston Harbor Hotel at Rowes Wharf

Whenever I visit Boston, I frequently stay at Boston Harbor Hotel. This is a Forbes 5 Star hotel. I like the location. It's just a few steps from Logan Airport, Faneuil Hall and one of my favorite restaurants, The Palm.

REVIEW: I always get a suite when I stay here so this review is not of a typical room.

LOBBY: Always has fresh flowers. The doormen always assist me with luggage, cars, etc. There is a nice gift shop located in the lobby near the entrance. They do carry Vineyard Vines clothing.

ROOM: The decor of the room is nice. I always have a king bed with separate living area. I do like the fact that I can play my Pandora account on the TV. There are slippers in the closet and an umbrella to use during your stay. There is also an iPad on the night stand where you can order room service, issue maintenance requests, listen to music, etc.

BATHROOM: Marble bathroom with tub with separate rain shower. They do provide luxury bath toiletries along with bath salts for taking a nice soak in the tub.

GYM: Boston Harbor Hotel has a great fitness center located on the bottom floor of the hotel. The gym has good equipment and they have a salt water pool.

MY RATING: 4 out of 5 stars.

The staff usually take good care of me while I am there during my stay. I do take advantage of the nightly turn down service. When I do stay at this hotel, I always get a suite overlooking Rowes Wharf. If I couldn't get a suite overlooking the water, I most likely would not stay here. I have had two problems here in the past. My first time staying here, I had just arrived to the hotel after a red eye and wanted to take a bath before getting some sleep. The bath tub would not drain so I had to have maintenance come up at 5 AM to fix it. The second incident was in the restaurant during my most recent stay. My Fiancee and I went to go have lunch at Meritage Restaurant, located on the second floor of the hotel. We placed our order and waited 45 minutes until the food came. I guess they over cooked my Fiancee's meal (twice) and that's why there was a wait. They did take care of our bill for the wait.

DAMAGE: Staying at Boston Harbor Hotel cost me $875 per night. This does not include any food.
